I’m a mom, outdoor enthusiast, professional snack distributor, and the founder of Moss & Motherhood.

I started this blog shortly after becoming a mom and realizing that motherhood is somehow both the most beautiful and most chaotic thing I’ve ever experienced.

Before having my son, I imagined motherhood would involve peaceful stroller walks, homemade meals, and heartwarming moments of connection. And sometimes it does.

Other times it involves chasing a baby who’s trying to eat a pinecone while carrying a diaper bag that somehow weighs more than the baby himself.

Life is all about balance.

I’ve always felt most at home outside. Give me a forest trail, a lake, a campground, or a quiet walk under the trees and I’m happy. Some of my favorite family memories happen outdoors, and one of my biggest goals as a mom is helping my son develop the same appreciation for nature.

Moss felt like the perfect symbol for this space.

It’s resilient, beautiful, often overlooked, and somehow manages to thrive in places where most things wouldn’t. Kind of like moms, if we’re being honest.

Moss & Motherhood is where I share:

🌿 Nature-inspired family adventures

πŸ“š Children’s books and learning ideas

πŸ•οΈ Family travel and camping inspiration

🀎 Honest reflections on motherhood

πŸ’‘ The random products and parenting hacks that actually make life easier

Basically, all the things I find myself talking about with other moms.

I believe fresh air fixes more problems than most people realize. I think children need more dirt, more puddles, and fewer flashing plastic toys. I never leave the house with the correct number of snacks.

I regularly plan elaborate outdoor adventures only to spend half of them watching my son investigate a stick that he eventually attempts to eat.

I’ve learned that parenting advice is often contradictory, which means someone is always judging your choices no matter what you do. And I’ve accepted that some of the best family memories happen when things don’t go according to plan.

I’m not here to pretend I have motherhood figured out. If anything, becoming a mom has made me realize how much I don’t know.

My goal is simply to share ideas, adventures, recipes, and honest experiences that might make motherhood feel a little easier, a little slower, and a little more connected to the world outside our front door.

If you’re the kind of parent who loves nature, believes childhood should involve getting dirty, and occasionally hides in the pantry to eat snacks without sharing, you’re in the right place.

I’m glad you’re here.
