10 Homemade Baby Foods You’ll Want to Make Again and Again

Some of the foods my baby loved most were simple family-friendly recipes that happened to be soft, nutritious, and easy for little hands to hold.

These recipes are perfect for babies who are comfortable with finger foods and are exploring a variety of textures.

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ¼ cup blueberries

Directions

  1. Blend oats into a flour.
  2. Mix with banana and egg.
  3. Fold in blueberries.
  4. Cook small pancakes over medium-low heat until golden.

These freeze beautifully and make an easy breakfast.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded sweet potato
  • ½ cup shredded apple
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons flour

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients.
  2. Form into small patties.

Most of these recipes freeze well for up to 3 months. I like to make a double batch and freeze portions for busy days when cooking from scratch isn’t realistic.
